Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 2026-10-31

These are the rules for what HiProxy proxies can and can't be used for. They are part of the Terms of Service and apply the same way to every account and plan.

1. Allowed uses

HiProxy proxies are for lawful business and personal work, such as:

  • Collecting publicly available web data.
  • Checking that ads display correctly in each country.
  • Monitoring product prices and stock.
  • SEO audits and checking search results by location.
  • Testing websites and apps from different regions.

2. Uses that are not allowed

You may not use HiProxy for any of these.

  • Accessing bank or financial institution login pages.
  • Accessing government websites.
  • Anything illegal.
  • Sending spam or bulk messages people did not ask for.
  • Credential stuffing or any other attempt to get into accounts that aren't yours.
  • DDoS attacks or traffic meant to take a service down.
  • Anything that breaks the laws that apply to the site you access.

3. Being fair to the sites you visit

Follow the laws that apply to you and to each site. Collect only public data, and keep your request rate low enough that the site isn't put under strain.

4. Looking after your account and credentials

You manage your own proxy username, proxy password and Allowed IPs. All traffic sent with your credentials is your responsibility, including traffic from anyone you share them with.

5. Monitoring and action

HiProxy may block access to some sites at the gateway and reviews the abuse reports it receives. Accounts that misuse the service are suspended.

6. Balance on suspended accounts

When an account is suspended for breaking this policy, all its plans stop and the remaining balance is not refunded.

7. Changes to this policy

HiProxy may revise this policy, and the date at the top marks the current version.
