Proxies for price monitoring
Price monitoring means opening the same product pages on a schedule and noting what changed. HiProxy datacenter IPs keep that job at the same monthly cost, however many checks you add.
Why datacenter IPs for price checks?
Datacenter IPs come from server networks, so they respond fast and cost little. 5~99 IPs are $0.15 per IP a month, 100~499 are $0.13 and 500 or more are $0.11.
A price check is light work: one page or one API call per product. The monthly bill depends only on the number of IPs, so running more checks a day does not change it.
How many IPs do I need?
Divide your daily checks by how many you want each IP to handle. 50,000 checks a day at 1,000 per IP comes to 50 IPs, which is $7.50 a month.
For larger catalogs, the Grow plan (100 IPs) is $13.00 a month and Scale (500 IPs) is $55.00. Buying 3, 6 or 12 months takes 3%, 6% or 10% off the rate.
Can I see prices in other countries?
Datacenter IPs are available in 18 countries, and you choose the country when you buy. Open a store from a UK IP and it shows the page a UK visitor gets.
Many stores change currency and shipping fees by visitor location. Checking from the same country every time keeps last month's prices directly comparable with this month's.
What about stores that block datacenter IPs?
Move just those stores to residential GB. It uses home connection IPs and you pay for the GB you use. Product pages are light, so the Lite plan (25 GB, $9.50) covers a good number of checks.
Residential GB never expire. Keep some in reserve for the few strict stores and leave the rest of your list on datacenter IPs.
Connect HiProxy for Price monitoring
1
Top up at least $30 in crypto in the payment window.
2
Choose a datacenter plan (Start, Grow, Scale, Fleet or a custom count), then the country and the period (1, 3, 6 or 12 months).
3
Connect with -zone-dc in the username. Traffic exits from IPs in the country you bought, so you see that country's prices.
4
Have your price checker connect through gate.hiproxy.shop:6100 on a schedule and save the result of every run.
Common questions
Is it fine to collect public prices?
Reading prices any shopper can see is common in many countries. Still follow the site's terms and keep the request rate low.
Does SOCKS5 work?
Yes. SOCKS5 is on port 6200, and HTTP and HTTPS are on port 6100.
Can my server connect without a password?
Add up to 10 server IPv4 addresses under Allowed IPs in the dashboard. Those servers connect without the proxy password.
Can I use datacenter and residential together?
Yes. Both are paid from the same balance, and you switch by changing -zone-dc or -zone-res in the username.
Top up $30 and get 78 GB of residential traffic
Pick a username and a password and you're in. Your balance never expires.
